As a photographer, I value each of my clients. To me, this is another working day – another assignment. However, for my clients – this is their BIG Day and we have to make sure that we are able to catch each special moment – a magical smile, a romantic glimpse or a sweet laughter. We had to make sure that the couple is relax and comfortable working with us. It always helps when we have bonded with our clients in a way. It eases the tension and pressure, and allows us to capture their moments. This day was one of those days when it wasn’t difficult for us to bond with them. They made us feel like we were in a vacation, a part of a big happy family. Not merely enjoying their company – not treated as a photographer or a guest, but as a family member. That was quite touching for us. We had our engagement session a day before the wedding at the world famous Boracay beach line. The sun was slowly setting itself across the horizon whilst we were hurriedly preparing for the shoot. We only had few minutes to pull off the fastest shoot, to ensure that we made use of what little light is left in the horizon. Our goal is to capture the right effect we envisioned for the couple’s portrait. In spite of the hurdle, we managed to capture an excellent shot. The following day, the couple took their time enjoying the perfect sunny weather. They spent their last moments as sweethearts, snorkeling and relaxing under the sun. The wedding was set at 4:30 in the afternoon so the couple had enough time to relax prior to their portrait session which was set to take place at 1:00 p.m. To set the romantic mood of the shoot, we chose their two floors villa as our venue. Inside the residence, is a strategically centered Jacuzzi – overlooking the majestic island beach-cove, which served as our main background for the portrait. Given the breathtaking view and setting, it was not difficult to get a good shot that afternoon. It was a perfect way to capture romantic moments for a beautiful couple like Derrick and Jessica. The entire wedding and reception was perfect and everyone looked happy as they celebrated this joyful event. It was not just a job for us, it was our responsibility that this family would always remember this day through the photos we took. We took our time taking these shots, making unforgettable moments happen. At the end of the day, we were happy with the results. Thankful for the perfect moments we captured but also for having been a part of their special day. We wish the couple the best of life ahead and may the photos we took remind you of that very special day when you have committed your life to each other. By the way, remember the hurdle with the sunset? We did not only capture one of our best shot that afternoon– it also gained an award in one of the leading international online competition. To you Derrick and Jessica, we share this success!!! http://www.pixoto.com/images-photography/wedding/engagement/37897802 |
